Life before Google Maps

What do you do when you need to find out how to get around a new city when your visiting parents or friends? You simply whip out our smartphones, launch Google Maps and punch in an address to get to where we need to go.

However, it wasn’t that easy pre-2004, before Google acquired a Sydney-based company called Where 2 Technologies where a web-based map was developed by two Danish brothers Lars and Jens Rasmussen.
